盛暑下有許多大樹著花，包括這株有金黃色似流蘇狀的花朵，學名如下，在不同地區還有許多別名：

荷花玉蘭 / 洋玉蘭****

學名 Magnolia grandiflora Linn.

****洋玉蘭學名 Magnolia grandiflora Linn.，與玉蘭花同屬一個家族，也就是木蘭科（Magnoliaceae）。其中，屬名Magnolia是植物學家林奈為紀念皮爾．馬格農（Pierre Magnol,1638～1715）而命名的，他是法王路易十四的御醫，也是當時Montpellier植物園的園長和知名的植物學家。種名拉丁文grandiflora，意思就是大花。因此，若就學名直接翻譯成中文應是「大花木蘭」，何以稱為「洋」玉蘭？不難猜測它並非中國原產，而是由國外引進的

木蘭科是開花植物中很古老的一個家族，約在八千萬至一億年前就存在地球上，因此它們也見證過恐龍的興亡。它是古老的植物，也有著很原始的花 - 中台山月刊 168

台灣花蓮

第一次見到這花在2011年花蓮旅遊途中，這株精巧美麗的小樹在一住家格子窗外如初成長少女亭亭玉立。當地人告知俗名叫：粉撲花

當時只道是山野奇葩，並不明它和台灣合歡樹的關聯

合歡（學名：Albizia julibrissin），又名絨球花、馬纓花和考試花是豆科的一個樹種，原產於亞洲西南部和亞洲東部…..初夏開花，花期較長，因此是非常好的行道樹和園林綠化樹，已經引種到北溫帶的很多各國⋯⋯最早羅馬人以為蠶絲製品產於這種樹上，所以稱其為「絲樹」- 維基百科
