在春的呼喚之下，前院梨樹芽苞陸續冒出花來

野鹿家庭外出踏青

漫步街頭覓食嚐鮮

草坪中冒出的雜花嫰葉

那一頭玫瑰紅的山茶也來競艷

黃色的水仙花不落人後

花朶似陽光般燦放

前面一家寒冬餘生的仙人掌

開出漂亮的小花束

草皮邊上冒出一簇加州罌栗花 *

*加州罌栗花 On March 2, 1903 the California poppy, Eschscholzia californica, became the official state flower of California (Ca. Government Code Section 421). The plant's bright orange flowers are an unmatched symbol of the Golden State, perhaps viewed as a floral representation of the “fields of gold” sought during the gold rush.
