Halloween is a holiday for “observance of Allhallowtide,[9] the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the departed.[10][11]” -Wekipedia
Mexican “dia de los Muertos - day of the dead” and 中國農曆七月的中元節 are also traditional way of celebration of the departed
In today’s western society, it has turned more or less into a somewhat commercially related holiday for costume party for adults and “trick or treat” for kids
Preceding this year’s holiday, street decorations have upped on a theme of various ghost characters, some are rather generic, some are more effective in scaring off younger ones
This is a welcoming sign of a house
for trick or treaters to pay a visit
The mightier ones amidst a flower patch certainly are scarier than those floating in mid-air
Those hanging sheet ghosts are not scary enough to even very young kid not to mention this cute little guy
The red eyed dog caught in the company of some
scary pieces of bones it dug out
Some tried to climb up trees
More skeletons large and small playing in the yard swinging in bright daylight
