Fresh berry salad
新鮮莓果沙拉
The colorful dish my daughter made included :
blueberries and raspberries, salad greens and herbs, tomatoes in various sizes and colors
also tossed in are fresh cooked corns

Inspired by dishes I came across to taste at both of my daughters’
I managed to create something of my own :
Two salad plates
兩盤拼蔬果沙拉
Persian cucumbers cubed, fresh tomatoes diced, then tossed in
chopped cilantro, add mozzarella cheese in small chunks,
sprinkle w/salt and pepper to taste and add olive oil, mix well
*Optional: (sprinkle a few pomegranate seeds on salad
for it’s naturally sweet taste and shiny gemlike seeds in photo*)

一件七式木製餅模
朋友家藏有一個精美的木製老式月餅模
想起十多年前在北京逛潘家園時
也買過餅模,雖不怎麼精致,卻頗具民間氣息
完全是民間作坊製品
猜想有些年紀,應該是民國之後的東西
這是一只木製餅模
兩面都有餅模一共七個樣式
刻工線條簡單樸實,刀法有勁道
應該是民間工藝坊間常見之成品
或是鷄蛋糕的餅模
這是今日台北街頭仍見得到的流動性攤販
販售的庶民食品鷄蛋糕
這種食品由來已久
兒提時代街頭就已常見販售攤子
在物資匱乏的年代這還屬奢華的食物
今日是能填飽肚子最經濟的食品之一
