Mother’s Day Bouquet, given by one daughter   &

Planted by the other daughter,  as 

Mother’s Day gifts

 Here in Northern California, flowers are in profusion a bit later than usual

this year:

               Spring flowers scattering around the slate pavement 

A big bush like cluster of succulent flowers 

鄰家榴花紅似火

盛夏時滿樹掛著小巧玲瓏石榴

像是聖誕樹上的裝飾

真是好看

Cymbidium Orchids*

Placed outdoor in planters for years

They thrived and continued to bloom each spring 

*Gardeners all across the country are envy our Northern California climate. Warm days and cool nights make this a perfect spot not only for human habitation, but also for growing cymbidium orchids.

The following pictures were taken in Taipei earlier in spring 

These two photos here are scenes before we reached 

an old house which was doubled as restaurant we were visiting 

The stone steps led to an arch, meandered through pavement w/ railings alongside many semitropical plants before we reached 

the old house/restaurant 

Fringe tree flowers look like snow covered branches 

Thus the name of “April Snow”
