Some people thought I turned to a vegetarian as I posted mostly veggie dishes and often advocated light eating.

Back to the States
Now, here’s the beef !

In a Mexican American restaurant, I ordered a hamburger
haven’t been eating real beef

(restaurant menu advertised using 100% beef)
 for sometime now

Hubby ordered a triple fajita dish
w/ beef, chicken and a few shrimps + black beans

Son-in-law made a basque inspired chicken dish with
Le Creuset braiser which is uniquely designed with a wide base and shallow sloped sides, a cross between a Dutch oven and a skillet, and is a versatile piece to add....

A noodle bowl
w/a Japanese touch
It’s not Ramen yet contains fish cake and veggies
In the center of bowl rests a piece of braised beef shank

The following two pictures of Vietnamese style eating feature lots of vegetables using rice paper or leafy veggies to wrap everything including shrimps & meat

And plenty of vegetables of all shapes and colors
Very healthy and balanced meal indeed
These were prepared by the Vietnamese caretaker for mom

Taipei, Taiwan

Now, this is a simple Continental style breakfast made by daughter
When we paid a visit to Phoenix where she worked years back

In the kitchen the lingering aroma of coffee remains in my mind

Note: Not in the picture were toasts (still inside the toaster oven! ) Phoenix, Arizona
