The rose is red, the violet's blue,
The honey's sweet, and so are you.

Two pink roses

under the clear blue sky

On the brink of opening

Just in time 

for the moment of winning the smile of 

Your valentine

A pair of white geese 

on the date of their outing 

While the macho one loudly announces his proud mate

The demure lady quietly checks her look in the puddle 

This pair of egrets 

enjoy their favorite spot by the stream

Which is exactly the place they first met 

Their sweetheart valentines 

For a dessert after dinner

Sweet rice with mango

In a nice Thai restaurant 

Or this dandy delicate candy from Japan 

Inside the box

A folded piece of user’s manual explained

The individually wrapped candies 

made from flowers of a plant 

(Sorry I can’t translate Japanese)

The flowers came in two colors, pink and beige

Each molded separately into a small 

hemisphere 

Together they made a dandy candy ball

Upon opening the delicate wrapper

You can sample each separately 

or with some one you care about
